Enhancements

  • When using curved subheads on any frame or producing a sliding sash with a semi-circular top shape we can now set the height dimension to the springing line or the overall frame height. (#1064)

  • Wood weights in an imperial database cost file. (#2090)

When using an Imperial Decimal or Imperial Fractions database, Wood weight values can now be entered as lbs/cubic foot(ft3) or lbs/Board Foot(BDFT).

 

  • Glass cost file can now show weight as lbs/ft2 or as kg/ft2. (#2091)

The glass weight in the glass/sheet cost file can display as either lbs/ft2 or kg/ft2. to make use of this enhancement go to file/properties/other settings/weight units then select KILOGRAMS or POUNDS.

 

  • The item weight that appears on the Estimate/Quotation, Delivery Note and Invoice printouts can now be displayed in either lbs or kg. (#2551)

To make use of this enhancement go to file / properties / other settings / weight units, then select KILOGRAMS or POUNDS.

 

  • We now have the ability to view and edit customers details without having to open a new job. (#4390)

  • JMS can now be set to use 'Board Foot' in a metric database as well as 'cubic metres'. (#4469)

To make use of this enhancement go to File / Properties / Other Settings where you will now find an option to set the volume as Cubic metres (m3) or Board foot (BDFT).

 

  • We can now display customers alphabetically in job details. (#4481)

  • Extra rail and stile options in doors and screen casements. (#4494)

We now have the option to select a large or small top rail, bottom rail and stiles in doors and screen casements.

  • BSI Logo on U Value Confirmation Certificate. (#4555)

When you now print a 'U value confirmation certificate'
the 'bsi thermal performance verification logo' will now appear in the header of the first page.

 

  • New version of JMS installed dialogue box. (#4558)

When a new version of JMS is installed a dialogue box will now appear asking you to read the release notes.
If the 'remind me later' option is selected the dialogue box will reappear the next time JMS is opened and will continue to appear until you have viewed the release notes.

 

  • Sliding sash windows inner and outer lining widths. (#4580)

When building a 'Box frame with weights' or a 'Solid with springs' sliding sash, we can now set a separate width for our inner/outer linings that will appear correctly on the cutting lists.

  • We now have the ability to insert a lock/mid rail in a cored flush door. (#4626)

  • Additional Quotation heading options for Screens, Doors & Screen Casements. (#4740)

For Screens the new headings are;
Bi Fold door frame.
Bi Fold window frame.
Sliding door frame.
Sliding window frame.
Casement window frame.
Awning window frame.

For Doors the new headings are;
Casement.
Screen casement.
Sash.
Fully reversible.
Breezway louvre.
Sashless unit.
Flyscreen sash.
Bi Fold sash.
Sliding sash.
Stable door.

For Screen Casements the new headings are;
Door.
Bi Fold door.
Sliding door.
Fixed sash.
Fixed casement.
Flyscreen door.
Bi Fold sash.
Sliding sash.
Stable door.

These options are accessed at local level having just imported a template, just above the parameter set is a drop down option box from where you choose to use the various quotation headings.

 

  • Two different taxes can now be applied to Joinerysoft. (#5079)

Fixed Defects

  • When using an imperial fractions or imperial decimal database automatic equations always appeared in metric. (#2066)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • Using an imperial database and printing a cost breakdown the "rate" column was displaying linear metres when it should display linear feet. (#2095)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • When using an imperial database the area on a cost breakdown printout always showed as m2 rather than ft2. (#2096)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • When viewing the cost breakdown using an imperial database, the weight always displayed as kg/linear metre. (#2097)

This defect has now been fixed and can be displayed as lbs/linear ft.

 

  • When using an imperial database, in joinery parameters the labour rates displayed as mins/m2 instead of mins/ft2. (#2101)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • When using BOM in an Imperial Database some units still displayed in metric. (#2107)

This issue has now been fixed

 

  • When printing a parameter file while using an imperial database the dimensions reverted to mm's and the timings reverted to mins/m. (#2111)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • When set to use an imperial database the glass energy surcharge calculation was incorrect. (#2544)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • When viewing a cost breakdown for a sliding sash window with JMS set to use an imperial database, the weights and cords were using a linear metre rate rather than a linear foot rate . (#2547)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • When using an imperial database the 'sash cord additional length' calculation was incorrect. (#2548)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • In an imperial database when clicking on an individual component (jamb, head etc.....) , the linear rate always displayed in metres. (#2549)

This defect has been fixed and will now display in ft.

 

  • When using an imperial database, printout header & footer dimensions displayed in mm. (#2552)

This defect has now been fixed and will now display in inches.

 

  • When using BOM standard in an imperial database the glass/sheet always displayed as rate/m2. (#2561)

This defect has now been fixed and it will now display as rate/ft2.

 

  • When selecting to use an inner staff bead weatherstrip the quantities displayed on the detailed cutting list and fittings list were incorrect. (#2602)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • Horns to Box Frame Sliding Sash. (#4505)

When a sliding sash parameter was set to 'Box Frame With Weights' and then a horn was applied to the head or cill it had no effect.

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • Solid with springs sliding sash window U Value not working correctly. (#4531)

When building a 'Solid with Springs' sliding sash window, if an outer lining was used that was wider than the jamb/pulley stile then the U Value would not be calculated.
This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • When setting different widths for inside & outside false plant on bars the dimensions for bar spacings on the detailed cutting list were inaccurate. (#4561)

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • Sash only height dimensions incorrect on some printouts. (#4583)

If printouts with 'dimensions on drawings' are used when producing a pair of sashes only in the sliding sash module the height dimension was appearing with an incorrect value.

This defect has now been fixed.

 

  • Outward opening pair of doors notation was incorrect when printing small/medium/large diagrams. (#4666)

When printing diagrams for an outward opening pair of doors the letter 'A' appeared on the slave leaf rather than the first opening door, this has been corrected and the letter 'A' will now appear on the first opening door as it does with inward opening pairs.

 

  • When creating a sliding sash window in an imperial database that has a semi-circular top shape the radius dimensions on the detailed cutting list for the curved components still appeared in metric. (#4711)

This defect has now been fixed.
