One of the options included is Blank heading.
These new options are aimed towards the Estimate/Quotation only.
When choosing your preference for the hanging notation at File Properties > Joinery >
Option A or B, the chosen option will also have an effect on a Pair of Doors or Pairs of Screen Casements.
Previously we were unable to control the hanging notation for Pairs of Doors or Pairs of Screen casements.
Place a pair of doors into a frame and right click and choose Hang, you should then see the
new options Slide left and Slide right.
When changing Parameters in a certian way to use an existing Template some times the Template was not refreshing.
This has now been corrected.
At times removing a flush door blank caused JMS to crash. This has now been corrected.
Having chosen for example Add Door / Frame and then having chosen a template you will notice in the
Door/ Frame Dialogue box a new options drop down Titled Type. From the options that are then displayed
Choose a heading for the Estimate/Quotation.
These new options are aimed towards the Estimate/Quotation only.
The Fittings Collections now have a new d1 line that when populated with text will appear on the Detailed Cutting List and The Cutting List Diagrams
An error occured when using Quick menu at Job details level in Door/Frame.
This did not effect any calculation of cost or Dimension it was just an access issue.
An error occured when changing from default currency at job detail level this has now been rectified.
Random numbers were appearing at the foot of the Simple Cutting List Summary. These numbers have been erased.
We now have the ability to right click on the weight column in the wood cost file to enter the known weight of a certain piece of timber which will then convert to the Kg / Meter Cube weight.
To delete multiple jobs in one, go to Jobs in the top address bar and choose Delete jobs from the Delete jobs dialogue box and choose the jobs to delete.
To access this extra Print Report
You the user are not able to alter its configuration.
When Top or Btm text was previously configured and when the choice was made to position a blank line without text at the top of the top text and at the top of the btm text using the Enter key the text was then corrupted, this has now been fixed.
Please read release notes to #1885 a little lower in this list.
To show linear meterage only go to File > Properties > Other settings then in the Cutting list / Summaries area place a tick in the appropriate box.
JMS now has the ability to apply a lining extension. This is an additional piece of timber or MDF that is jointed to the edge of the jambs and head of a door lining or frame.
To apply go to either a door frame or a screen frame parameter and:
At present fittings are applied to the joinery parameter, this new option allows you to produce fittings collections and apply them to the job rather than the parameter.
As this new facility is fairly involved I would suggest spending a few minutes to view the following two tutorial videos.
We have produced two videos for you to access on our website titled:
This has now been corrected.
Tilt & Turn Windows can now be configured with the following options used:
Both the Screen frame and door frame parameter has an additional option q56 inner rebate used in shoulder length for opening in door
this addition allows you to arrive at an improved shoulder length on the cutting lists.
To use this facility you will need to configure a new Estimate / Quotation in Print manager and use
the new option No12 'Display Tax rate when 0 and choose Auto. VAT will now need to be set to "0" in Job Details, Fixed Values.
All Fittings parameters now have 100 lines ,an increase from the previous 30 lines.
The new parameters options are:
As well as using supplied Setback (v85 & v87) Screens will always add on a setback of Frame rebate or Plant on Stop width. This is unlike Door Frames which only add the latter for the architrave of the non-opening face.
To use this facility the choices are made within the sliding sash parameter its self by using Quick menu, Full menu then going to q19 Section under the heading BOX CASE/FRAME OPTIONS There you will see the options:
This facility is geared more towards quotations as it is not possible to arrive at accurate sash sizes therefore the glass will be in accurate. These Inaccuracies should be addressed at a later date.
This has now been fixed. It was an issue where characters were being converted to Unicode for printing which is not currently supported.
Until now all commas were thrown out of the various parameter description lines , this situation has now been changed so that commas can be included in all description lines.
A tool tip is presented when the cursor moves into a grid cell where there are more characters than can be displayed. In these cases the popup menu on right mouse button click no longer works. E.g. in select parameter dialog, if the parameter set name column is narrower than the parameter set name, then when you move the mouse into the cell a tooltip appears displaying the full name. However, a right mouse click does not produce a popup menu. In order to copy or do any other popup menu operation either the column must be increased in width until all characters displayed or the menu bar at the top of the dialog must be used.
The Help button on all properties and job details pages does not work correctly. The Help option on the main menu is unaffected. Also see ticket No. '#485'
Changes to local parameter contine to exist even if you cancel changes within the window/door/screen dialog. This affects windows, doors and screens.
The last column on the main job summary which lists all the different colours for items is not being updated correctly as items change. This causes duplicate colours to show although when the items are opened and printed the correct colours are shown.
Online help is not working correctly over a network environment, in a client / server topology.
To overcome this short term situation, you could copy the help file jms.chm from the server to your local computer and run it from there.
On a new installation, the installer/trainer will adjust your computer settings to enable the computer to view the jms.chm file over the local network. This problem hase been caused by Microsoft.
Estimate top and bottom text cannot individually exceed 1 side of A4
In version 2.1.2.1 we have included a 'Recompute Job' button as a temporary fix to resolve this issue. In a later release this button may be removed to allow for a more intuitive approach to recalculating a cost of a job after a change has been made.
This new 'Recompute Job' button can be found on the 'Job Details' dialog box.
See also ticket #1030
From within the Quick Menu, should you drill down to the rebates (row 13, a4)and click on Rebates you will open up the Rebates dialog box.
Entering any rebate information at this point will not be saved back to the main parameter.
Should you wish to alter the rebates of a casement window, you would be advised to enter into the Full Menu and change the required rebates starting at row 92.
In the door parameter file under Labour Time Rates, The minutes per item 'm16' time is not being doubled when you select double doors in 'q48'.
When you call up a template door, '2x2G' for example, and and change in the 'parameter file' line 'q54' to 'Panel Grooves' . Now right click below the mid rail and select 'Rebates, Grooves, Stop beads' then select 'Rebates' the shoulder lines for the mid rail do not adjust to reflect the new option. The mid rail may be the wrong length depending on how you manufacture the door.
Mortices in rebates option 'q30' in screens should toggle the annotation for component view width from view width to between rebates width in the same manner as for casement windows.
The annotation currently does not reflect the differences between the above and below lock rail grooves/rebate setting.
Comb joint reduction 'v20' is not implemented on the vertical setting out. If the top tenon was 42mm prior to the comb joint reduction, it is still 42mm after the reduction. This will give you the wrong setting out marks.
The length of the 'threshold' used in a screen is incorrect. The length given is the width of the frame less the thickness of both jambs. The frame rebates are not being taken into account.
